Traveling across the globe with my students is one of my favorite parts of being a teacher. I plan trips where I have never been...so that I can see a new country and culture for the first time with my students. Travel never fails to challenge and inspire me. Watching my students see the Eiffel Tower or Venice for the first time is priceless. One of my favorite places to visit on my teacher travels was Italy. With its warm, welcoming culture and its amazing food and art, my students and I felt right at home once we arrived. We spent ten days exploring Florence, Rome, Assisi, and Capri, seeing both the countryside and the dense cities in summer. I never wanted to return home!
